Prominent lawyer Donald Kipkorir is currently grieving the loss of his mother, Karatina. In a heartfelt tweet, Kipkorir shared the unfortunate news, revealing that his mother had passed away on Saturday following a courageous battle with cancer.

“My mum fought her aggressive cancer with Stoicism, Fidelity to God & Courage. She never once cried in her searing pain. I thank God for giving her to me. In the heavens, she finds peace & serenity,” he wrote.

The lawyer also paid tribute to his late mother by dedicating a poignant poem written by the English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The poem serves as a heartfelt expression of love and remembrance for his beloved mother.

“An Ode To Mum,

A grief without a pang, void, dark, and drear,

A stifled, drowsy, unimpassioned grief,

Which finds no natural outlet, no relief,

In word, or sigh, or tear-“

The lawyer had previously announced his departure to India alongside his mother on May 19, with the intention of seeking advanced medical treatment.

The decision to travel to India was driven by the pursuit of better healthcare options for his mother’s condition.

“On my way to India with my mum. The Commandment to honor our parents is the only Commandment with assured Blessings,” he tweeted.

“My Beloved mum Karatina has undergone so much pain. Praying that the best Oncologists in India will give my mum respite & healing. May the heavens hear us.”
