President Ruto’s Security Detail Involved In A Grisly Accident
A vehicle suspected to be part of President Ruto’s security detail, overturned at Mlima Nugu area in Naivasha, Nakuru County on Wednesday.
According to reports, the vehicle involved was a Lexus 570 and was carrying two members of the Presidential Escort Unit (PEU) when it rolled over while maneuvering through the winding road.
The two were promptly transported to a hospital in Naivasha for medical attention. The exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined.

President Ruto visited the lakeside town to inaugurate the Naivasha circuit of the 2023 WRC Safari Rally. He stated the the event attracts over 100,000 visitors each year, generating employment opportunities valued at Ksh. 24.7 billion.
Impressively, the rally has already enticed 34 teams representing 20 different countries.
Kenya’s esteemed rally driver, Shekhar Mehta holds the highest distinction in the WRC roll of honor, having secured five victories since the event’s inception in 1953.
