CS Moses Kuria Defies Court Orders, Insults The Media Again.

CS Moses Kuria on Saturday once again launched a disrespectful attack on the media during an event in Murang’a, where he referred to the gathered journalists and media professionals as prostitutes and declared his intention to respond in kind to the treatment he received from them.

Despite a court order forbidding him from insulting the media, Kuria seemed to defy the order while attending a food distribution event at Kimorori grounds in Kenol town.

During his speech, the Cabinet Secretary accused the media of bias in favour of the opposition Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party led by Raila Odinga.

“I sad recently an arrow in the night…these prostitutes from the media, how they come at me is how I will respond to them. The way they feel hurt when I call them that, is the same way we are hurt when they wrongly accuse us…and they should give us time to work, they were with the previous government for 10 years,” CS Kuria said.

The orders issued by Milimani High Court Judge Lawrence Mugambi on Wednesday stated: “An injunction be and is hereby issued against the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industries the Hon. Moses Kuria preventing him from uttering and expressing any insulting, demeaning, belittling, condescending, disdainful, disparaging or vilifying words against any media practitioner (s) within the meaning of Article 34 of the Constitution of Kenya.”
