Pastor Mackenzie’s wife freed on 100k bond
Pastor Mackenzie’s wife Rhoda Wambua has been granted freedom on a Ksh. 100,000 bond by the Shanzu Law Court in Mombasa. The condition of her release is her mandatory attendance at all court sessions.
During the hearing on Monday, Justice Yusuf Shikanda stated that the evidence and investigations presented in court did not establish a direct link between Rhoda and any offense.

Furthermore, the prosecution had not presented any case or arguments as to why Rhoda should remain detained in connection to the Shakahola deaths.
Rhoda, along with her husband Pastor Mackenzie and other suspects associated with the Shakahola cult, had been in police custody since their arrest on May 2.
The court, however, granted the prosecution 60 days to detain Pastor Mackenzie and his co-accused for further investigation.
