Majority of governors have lauded the effectiveness of devolution, emphasizing its pivotal role in delivering essential services to citizens. The have called upon the central government to consistently disburse funds in a timely manner. Thereby facilitating the smooth execution of responsibilities by devolved governments.
In parallel, a portion of Uasin Gishu County’s residents has voiced contentment with the localized governance model, saying that it has enabled the more accessible dispensation of services to the people.
The conference, themed “10 Years of Devlution: The Present and the Future,” will commence with a symbolic tree-planting endeavor, aligning with Kenya’s ambitious target of planting 15 billion trees by the year 2023.
